After working as a full-time hospitalist in Texas and locum hospitalist in other rural hospitals and critical care access hospitals across the country, I saw the writing on the wall. I understood how much time primary care physicians and hospitalists were wasting by manually coordinating every patient transfer, but the negative impact this process was having on the quality of care that patients received.

I knew the only way to change this outdated process was to develop a better one that would allow primary care physicians and hospitalists to communicate directly in real-time, streamline the direct admission process, and improve the quality of care that patients receive.
