Once a care provider submits a consult request for a patient to be directly admitted to the hospital, the App alerts the Hospitalist and Admitting Nurse on their smartphones. From there, the Hospitalist and Admitting Nurse can access the consult or admission request, view vital patient information and reason for submission, and accept the direct admission right from the App.
The Admitting Nurse and Hospitalist can also use the chat function to discuss the case and patient progress in more detail with the referring Care Provider.
Once the Hospitalist clicks “Accept Admission,” the Admitting nurse assigns a bed in the system and contacts the care provider and patient with pertinent transfer details.
